Bicycle Rides and Outdoor Events:
Empire
State AIDS Ride: The inaugural Empire State AIDS Ride
is a 500-mile bike ride from Niagara Falls to New York
City from Aug. 15-21, 2004. It was founded and is operated
by volunteers, and is the first major cycling event to
support overseas HIV/AIDS initiatives. 100-percent of
the donations will go to four beneficiaries: Doctors Without
Borders; Health GAP, AIDS Rochester; and the African Services
Committee. Register to ride, volunteer or donate money

Paradise
Ride: This 7-day, 4-island Hawaiian bicycle ride occurs
this year from July 17-23, 2004.
New
York to the Hamptons Challenge: Bicycle ride against
AIDS and hate. This year's ride is on October 2, 2004.

Walk: AIDSWalk.com is a resource to find the annual
AIDS Walk in your area.

HIV Prevention Conference: June 12-15, 2005. Atlanta,
Georgia.

National HIV/AIDS Conference: From amFar. April 10-13,
2005. Oakland, California.
National
HIV Testing Day: This is a public awareness campaign,
designed to promote voluntary participation in HIV testing
and counseling services. The National HIV Testing Day
Campaign was developed in 1995 to provide a focal point
for testing promotion activities nationally. The campaign
sends an unambiguous signal from people living with HIV
and AIDS that there are strong reasons for people at risk
for HIV infection to learn their serostatus and take charge
of their health.
