Welcome
to the web site of the Pennsylvania Young
Adult Roundtable Project. This site was created by
the young adult members of the Pennsylvania Young Adult Roundtables
in order to increase communication among all Roundtable members,
and to provide HIV/AIDS prevention information to other young
adults at risk of HIV infection, and to offer technical assistance
to those seeking to involve youth in the HIV prevention community
planning process.
In
March 1998 the Pennsylvania Young Adult Roundtables met in
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and developed the 1998 Pennsylvania
Young Adult Roundtable Consensus Statement. In August 1999,
Roundtable members revised the document and presented the
Pennsylvania HIV Prevention Community Planning Groups with
the 1999 Pennsylvania
Young Adult Roundtable Revised Consensus Statement. In
2003, the Consensus Statement (2003
Pennsylvania Young Adult Roundtable Consensus Statement)
was again revised and reformatted to match the current version
of the Pennsylvania Community HIV Prevention Plan.
This
Pennsylvania Young Adult Roundtable project is administered
by the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public
Health, Pennsylvania Prevention Project and is funded through
the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of HIV/AIDS.
